Refinishing

Let us provide your loved furniture with a fresh finish to make it look brand new.

It starts with stripping off the finish that's currently on the furniture piece.  Then, the sanding begins. We hand-sand after we machine-sand, which results in a much cleaner finish. We get to every nook and cranny.  After the sanding process, we apply the stain.  We have many color samples for customers to choose from, but we can also create custom stains to get just the color our customers are looking for.  We then apply a vinyl sealer, which helps prevent cracking and peeling later down the road.  Next comes the clear coat. Customers have a choice of high-gloss, gloss, semi-gloss, satin, and flat.

Some types of finishes we use are:

  • high-durability conversion varnish

  • water-based polyurethane

  • lacquers

  • oil-based finishes (teak, danish, etc.)

Our woodworking experts are meticulous in their craft.

Painting is an option!

Painting also involves stripping off the paint and sanding it down.  When painting, we apply a primer before we apply 2-3 coats of paint with a sprayer.  The clear coating exists within the paint the customer chooses (matte, semi-gloss, etc.)

  • PROS OF PAINTING vs. REFINISHING :  The cost is lower and it takes less time to do.

  • CONS OF PAINTING vs. REFINISHING :  The grain of the wood will no longer be visible.
